Trap larger particles and debris floating in your aquarium with this foam insert that covers the mechanical filtration stage. It prevents these particles from clogging and interfering with the biological and chemical stage. Foam also enhances biological filtration, because eventually beneficial bacteria will grow to convert ammonia and nitrites into nitrates, and adsorb odours, discolouration and impurities.
